Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad product changes and Bad PR Like everyone else agrees, the new vegan friendly recipe is pretty awful in comparison to how they have been for years prior. Its pretty sad really, all the veriety you get in stores, but everyone has their favourites. There are brands that many people class as a higher quality product, British classic, the best ect. Im sure many people would agree with me that Rowntrees Fruit Pastilles was one of them, everybody knows the brand, the taste, the chew, and many people may even have good memories related to this product. I dont think many people will class rowntrees as one of these brands anymore. Your team can say "The new recipe still has our classic fruity flavour!" and that you "wanted everyone to enjoy our Fruit Pastilles.". Exept, they dont and now they dont. Its good for brands to try new things, thats how you grow. But an important part of growth is having the pastilles to admit when you made a bad desicion. Achnowledge that you have let down a massive proportion of your fan base and come up with a solution to satisfy them. I cant talk for anyone else but many of your review responses such as "wanting everyone to enjoy our Fruit Pastilles.", stating that "There are no plans at present to bring the old recipe back" and insinuating that people have had a bad batch(when they were just clearly dissapointed with the dreadful recipe change), just make it feel as though you dont care that much about the people who actually have been buying and enjoying your products and are purely in persute of tapping into a proportion of the market that you were previously unable to sell to. 1.Bad PR! 2. Dont reduce the quality of your product in persute of sales!(LOOK AT ALL THE NEGATIVITY IT HAS BROUGHT) I think many people would really appreciate a word to say that maybe this was a mistake, maybe listen to your customers who say they DONT taste the same rather than keep telling your customers that they DO and make a commitment to ACTUALLY "wanting everyone to enjoy our Fruit Pastilles." by saying that you will revert the recipe or release the product as two lines(common, Percy pig managed it!)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful! Bought these new Vegan ones after years of the other recipe and am so disappointed. They are awful. Why do meat eaters have to be discriminated against. With food, we have a clear separation between Vegan/Vegetarian so why not sweets. Wouldn’t but again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from interesting that 90% of your good reviews So i just finished writing a bad review on here ,and couldn't understand how when looking at the graph of good versus bad reviews of the new recipe i saw so many great reviews, that is until i actually went trough about 300 of them only to find Nestle is doing a great PR stunt by including reviews that are at least 3 to 5 years old.The majority of the newer reviews are howlingly bad. Taste , texture ,vegan 90% rate them bad, plus not buying them again until a shift back to the original. The replies to said bad reviews , seem to done by an autobot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Spoiling yet another of my childhood memories So i am a 60 year old man that grew up with Rowntree's pastilles ,one of the high lites of my week as a child was the Roll , Box or Tube that found its way in to my mom's weekly shopping, when living in America said mom would pack a extra bag full of Pastilles just so i could get my fix twice a year. The recipe has changed over the years though not with out me writing Rowntree's on these occasions to point this out. If ever there was a reply i was assured that they hadn't touched the formula i always begged to differ. Any way onto this new disaster , vegan for god sakes, there are so many other company's producing vegan stuff why on earth did this change happen. No they don't taste the same , yes they cling to your teeth in a way the originals never did , i don't think theres one flavor that hasn't been altered. WHY ?????is all i can say . At least produce two versions of the candy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delish! I haven’t had these in years and I’m so happy that they are now vegan. One thing I did notice however the texture has changed quite a bit. They used to be kind of “tough” which is what I really liked about them because I don’t like soft jellies. Same with the jelly tots, I think people liked that fact that there was a bit of a bite to them. I will still pick them up, I don’t usually eat jellies but these are the one brand I have to pick up when I see them.
