Rated 1 out of 5 by from What's happened?? Jelly Tots were my favourite sweet but something has changed with them, they are less fruity and less sweet, feels like the sugar content has been cut down perhaps? I just do t like these, they almost taste like fruit pastels now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed My whole family used to love Jelly Tots. Eating them, sticking them on homemade biscuits and cupcakes with the children. Everyone loved them. Not anymore they don’t. I was so excited to finally find a shop that sold Jelly Tots and the size of the packet was huge a dream come true, amazing. But upon opening them my heart just sank. They are not Jelly Tots anymore. Rowntree why did you have to change them? The new size is all wrong! The sugar coating is all wrong! They most certainly are not Jelly Tots more like Jelly giants. PLEASE Bring back the cute flat tiny button ones with real granulated sugar on them, and when every colour tasted of a different flavoured fruit. If you had to make entirely different sweets change the name not the sweets. I was so disappointed. I asked my friends and family what they thought of the new Jelly Tots. I stopped after I asked 30 of them, they all gave the same answer. Not one of them liked them. All 30 of them said they didn’t like the new larger size Jelly Tots and all 30 of them said they wont buy them again. Sadly I wont either. So that’s another 31 customers you have lost. Word soon spreads. Working in primary schools decorating iced treats such as biscuits and cupcakes used to be so much fun. The children would go home and there parents would recreate there children’s master pieces. 30 plus children in a class equal 30 parents. Rowntree are going to loose out on generation’s of future Jelly Tot lovers. It’s a sad sad world we leave in. Rowntree wake up BRING BACK the original Jelly Tots. I wouldn’t recommend Jelly Tots to anyone any more. You used to be able to:- Eat them. Young and old Enjoy them. Shared them. Teach children how to count with them. Teach children how to decorate homemade treats with them. Sadly they are just a crossbreed between wine gums and fruit pastels.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They've changed.. and not for the better. What's happened? They taste medicinal, too big, not like the fruit they're supposed to taste like and the sugar coating is just wrong. Won't be buying again, they're just not what they used to be.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened to Jelly Tots? The new style jelly tots are nothing like Jelly tots. They are fruit pastilles without the sugar. Completely different texture. Far too big, too chewy and where is the sugar? And no, this isn’t a bad batch, they’ve been like this for a while. The powdery texture is not pleasant. Please re-consider making them smaller at least and finding an alternative texture so that they are sugary and not powdery. I have attached an image, the top is what they now look like, the bottom image is what they used to look like, you might not of changed the recipe but they are not Jelly Tots, they are powdery fruit pastille drops.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the same! I don’t buy jelly toys very often but recently had some and they taste very different! The sugar coating is not the same and the texture is different, more chewy. I could get used to those things but the weird sour artificial aftertaste it left in my mouth has put me off buying them again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing changes I know you are claiming that the recipe hasn’t changed however I can assure you that any taste test indicates that you have. The “new” Jelly Tots seem to be bland with a strange texture. There is also a weird plastic/artificial aftertaste. In addition to removing the granulated sugar, it has made them quite unpleasant. Jelly Tots have always been my favourite treat but will not be buying these again.
